Confessions of a Solitary Walker

Time rises until it sinks in

Pain flies until it stands still

Hello and goodbye

No point asking why

Run little birdy

Flutter about little squirrel

You are right to be scared

God forbid that I dared

Breathe your last golden leaves

Shine cold autumn sun

River below wash me uphill

Shiver of old grind me to dust in this mill

God forbid that I dared

You are right to be scared

Dead leaves on the ground

Who knows what life you have found

Come, let’s not make a sound

His will I ensnared

Loved and got lost

Just look at what cost

Clouds in the sky

You are right to dissolve

As these raindrops dry off

The streets I walk on, they cough

Leaves of grass in the wind

How long will it take for you to lose this blasphemous green?

If you blush, will you turn brown?

Come, don’t you dare frown

Oh, what is this outrage?

Who decides to just turn the page?

Time rises until it sinks in

Pain flies until it stands still

Hello and goodbye

No point asking why

You are right to be scared

Yes, God forbid that I dared
