Sweet nothings

You are the morning dew

And I a leaf of grass

Each night you softly form anew

No other kiss can yours surpass

You are the summer rain

And I a dusty gravel road

Each day you wash away my pain

No greater mercy ever was on me bestowed

You are the thunder storm that pulls me under

And I a grateful, shipwrecked sailor

No gentler, raging force could break my heart asunder

Put me in chains, my sweet, sweet jailor
