Tristan and Isolde

When darkness falls upon the land, the moon shines through the clouds

When the stars’ reflection dances on the stream and mist hovers above the ground

Veiling my feet as I hasten through the night

That is when I’ll find you

And you will wait for me beneath the willow tree

I’ll sink into your arms and forever dream of days to come

When the rushing of an evening breeze whispers with the fallen leaves

When all other sounds are hushed and dusk takes up his solemn watch

Concealing me in the shadow of his wings

That is when you’ll find me

And I will wait for you beneath the willow tree

I’ll sink into your arms and forever dream of days to come

We’ll embrace the hours before day

Cherish fleeting moments, our eternity

Until the day that we must part

And sunlight steals you from my arms

When sails are set and white turns black

That is when I’ll die

Yet I’ll return to you beneath the willow tree

For there is no me without you, no you without me.
